QFH Cross Hatch Cutter produced by our institute is in accordance with the specification of ISO 2409-1974. It is applicable to determine the organic coatings adhesion by cross-hatching. It is suitable for labs and building sites.

a) All cut should penetrate through to the substrate, but cutting-in substrate should not be too deep.
b) If coating is too thick and too hard, but it can’t penetrate through to the substrate, the test is not valid. It should be illustrated in the test report.
c) Use a tape over the cut and remove with tape under the special circumstance. The tape is 25mm wide semi-transparent pressure sensitive adhesive sticking on the whole panel, then tear off with the smallest angle. The results are got according to any degree of flaking of cross-cut area.
d) Test should be done under the temperature 23℃±2℃ and relative humidity 50±5%.

Maintenance:

a) Clean the cross hatch cutter after every use and put it in the box, then placing it in a dry area.
b) The instrument provides four sides blade to be used. When the blade is not sharp enough, then loosening boat type nut and top thrust screw to change blade.
c) If the four sides blade is not sharp enough, send it back to our company for repair.
